The car is so powerful that it can go from 0-60 in just four seconds. It also has an impressive torque of 260lb-ft.

When the Jaguar E-type was first unveiled, it stunned the world with its beauty and speed. The Series 2 E-type improved on the Series 1 in all respects, ranging from minor aesthetic changes to a more comfortable interior. The front air intakes were enlarged for better cooling and the US market cars received power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering as well as air conditioning.

Unfortunately, aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer suffered a fatal heart attack just as work began on the successor to the E-type, which mutated into the larger XJ6 saloon. This allowed Technical Director William Heynes to shoehorn a V12 into the XJ21 floorpan and develop a new project, which was officially designated XJ25.
