Some interesting updates: Teri Takai, State of California CIO, has been chosen as the Department of  Defense's next CIO, while Barbara Hoffman has been selected to serve as the Department of the Navy's Principal Deputy CIO.

Power systems and industrial  automation company Emerson has named Kathleen McElligott as CIO, while Dan  Mintz, former CIO at the Transportation Department, has joined Powertek as the  company's COO.
