As you become more familiar with the activities available within the Smart Enterprise Exchange community, we have provided a few suggestions for actions you can take:

Research answers to your problems, challenges and questions.

In this community, you'll find many articles, white papers, videos, podcasts and resources dealing with challenges and opportunities facing IT executives across the globe. Dive in by exploring the items in the Areas of Interest box on the home page or click on the term you're interested in in the tag clouds you'll see throughout the community.

Update your profile.

The great value of any community lies with its members. Let us know who you are, what you're good at,  and what you're interested in. Why fill out more about yourself when you've already completed a registration to gain access to the site? Your registration details are mostly hidden from the community at large so that you can control how much information you want to share. Sharing a few details about yourself (your professional expertise, for example) will help you connect with other community members who have similar interests or expertise. And connections lead to opportunities to learn from and with each other. If you're already involved in Twitter or another form of social media, you know how well this can work. To update your profile, go to the pull down menu called Your Stuff in the nav bar across the top of this page and choose Profile. Once your page opens, click Edit profile from the Actions box.

Ask a question.

If you don't find the answers you're seeking in the materials that are on the site today, why not ask a question. Someone in the community may know the answer. To ask a question, choose Start a discussion from the Actions box.

Rate the content.

If you like what you find here, let us know by rating it or making a comment. If you don't like it, let us know that, too (politely, of course). By making your opinions known, you'll help shape the content here. To rate a document, blog, or other item, click the appropriate star under My Rating, which is just above the comments section.

Invite a friend.

Let colleagues in your department and other departments (here's the complete list of available communities) know about this resource. Click Invite friends to join in the Actions box that's on pretty much every page.

Sign up for email notifications or RSS feeds.

New content gets added to the community all the time. If you sign up for email notification (simply click Receive email notification under Notifications in the Actions box), you'll find out who is posting what and get a direct link to the new information. If you'd rather not clutter up your in box, you can use the RSS feeds to follow along. Simply click View feeds next to the RSS icon under Notifications in the Actions box and click on the feed you want to subscribe to. Note: You may need to use an RSS aggregator that supports private feeds.
